Comment (Production): PRODUCTION FROM THE UPPER 6-8 FEET OF THE LYNDON LIMESTONE; WORTH $125,000

Comment (Deposit): SULFIDES ARE GENERALLY VERY FINE GRAINED. THE ROCKS ARE QUITE DENSE, POSSIBLY DUE TO FINE-GRAINED DISSEMINATED SULFIDES, OR BARITE. SOME SPECULARITE WAS NOTED ON FRACTURE SURFACES, AND ALSO SOME SILICIFICATION OF WALLROCK. EVIDENCE OF SHEARING OR BRECCIATION ALONG BEDDING PLANE FAULT IS VISIBLE WITHIN WORKINGS, INDICATING REPLACEMENT MAY HAVE BEEN PARTIALLY CONTROLLED BY THE BEDDING PLANE FAULT. OTHER FACTORS INFLUENCING MINERALIZATION, ACCORDING TO THE LITERATURE ARE THE SCODDE FISSURE (N70E) AND LAMPROPHYRE DIKES. ORE EXTENDS ALONG BEDDING 25 FT ON EACH SIDE OF FEEDING FISSURE; VERY LITTLE ORE OCCURS IN THE FISSURE ITSELF. ORE IS FAULTED OFF ON THE EAST BY A N20E FAULT.

Comment (Deposit): WORKINGS EXPLORE A 10-15 FT THICK REPLACEMENT BED IN LIMESTONE. BEDDING IS GENERALLY HORIZONTAL WITH A SLIGHT INCLINATION OF 5-10 E. MOST ROCKS AT MINESITE ARE MEDIUM TO THICK-BEDDED, ARGILLACEOUS MARLY GREY-BROW TO YELLOWISH TAN LIMESTONES, SOME RECRYSTALLIZED AND/OR SHOWING ALGAL STRUCTURES. MASSIVE LIMESTONE CLIFFS (HIGHLAND PEAK FM) LIE SEVERAL HUNDRED FEET ABOVE THE MAIN WORKINGS, AND CHISHOLM (?)SHALE OUTCROPS 50-80 FT UPSLOPE FROM WORKINGS, INDICATING THAT MINE IS PROBABLY IN UPPER LYNDON LIMESTONE. THE EXPLORED HORIZON IS CHARACTERIZED BY LIGHT RED HEMATITE, LIMONITE, AND SPARSE MN OXIDES. THE CEILING OF THE WORKINGS CONSISTS OF MARLY ORANGE-BROWN LIMESTONE,FINELY CRYSTALLINE, WITH POCKETS OF LIMONITE, LENSES OF FE-MN OXIDES, AND RANDOM CALCITE VEINS AND VEINLETS. THE REPLACEMENT HORIZON IS DARK BROWN, MORE COARSELY CRYSTALLINE AND MARLY IN APPEARANCE. NBMG SAMPLE 1438 CONSISTS OF DARK RED-BROWN LIMESTONE OF THIS TYPE WITH IRREGULAR WHITE VUGGY CALCITE VEINS,GALENA AND PYRITE.

Comment (Workings): THREE DIAMOND DRILL HOLES BY THE US BUREAU OF MINES AT 12-15 FEET OF LOW GRADE ORE. MAJOR ADIT WITH A WINZE AND SEVERAL DRIFTS AND CROSSCUTS. IN 1983, SEVERAL OPENINGS AND DRIFTS FANNED OUT ALONG NEARLY HORIZONTAL REPLACEMENT BED. SEVERAL SHAFTS AND PROSPECTS OF LESSER EXTENT ON HILLSIDE ABOVE MAIN MINE. . MAJOR ADIT WITH A WINZE AND SEVERAL DRIFTS AND CROSSCUTS. IN 1983, SEVERAL OPENINGS AND DRIFTS FANNED OUT ALONG NEARLY HORIZONTAL REPLACEMENT BED. SEVERAL SHAFTS AND PROSPECTS OF LESSER EXTENT ON HILLSIDE ABOVE MAIN MINE.

Comment (Geology): ORE BODIES ARE IN BEDDED LIMESTONE, JUST BELOW THE CHISHOLM SHALE FM. ORE EXTENDS ALONG THE BEDDING FOR 25 FEET ON EACH SIDE OF THE FISSURES, WITH LITTLE ORE IN THE FISSURE. GALENA OCCURS IN THE LAMPROPHYRE DIKES, IN POCKETS WITH BROWNISH EARTHY GANGUE. LOW GRADE PRIMARY AG-PB-ZN MN ORE IN THE COMBINED METALS MEMBER, AT DEPTHS BETWEEN 590 AND 1250 FEET
