MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comment (Workings): DRAWING OF ORE SHOOTS AND TUNNELS IN CROSS SECTION AVAIBLE IN WESTGATE AND KNOPF, 1932, PAGE 74 . 900 FT LONG INCLINED SHAFT(30 DEGREES). THERE ARE SEVERAL LEVELS WITH MOST ORE COMING FROM THE 900 AND 500 FT LEELS. HOIST HOUSE, CORE SHACK, CONCENTRATION PLANT. VEIN WAS STOPED TO A DEPTH OF 350 FT. LOWER 130 FT OF SHAFT DEVELOPED BEDDED ORE.. 900 FT LONG INCLINED SHAFT(30 DEGREES). THERE ARE SEVERAL LEVELS WITH MOST ORE COMING FROM THE 900 AND 500 FT LEELS. Comment (Geology): ORE BODY IS A REPLACEMENT FISSURE VEIN, WITH BEDDED ORE ON THE LOWER LEVELS. THE VEIN FILLING CONSISTS OF JASPEROID AND RED JASPER CARRYING PB CARBONATE. IN PLACES THE VEIN IS VERY THIN AND INSIGNIFICANT. THE BEDDED ORE IS LIMITED ON THE N BY THE MENDHA VEIN, ON THE SE BY BROKEN AND FAULTED GROUND, AND ON THE W BY A FAULT
Comment (Deposit): Discovery Year: 1870'S
Comment (Location): WEST FLANK OF ARIZONA PEAK
Comment (Production): PRODUCTION OF SEVERAL THOUSAND TONS OF ORE REPORTED.
Comment (Development): 1910 PRESS CLIPPING STATES THAT A 4-FT VEIN OF PB-AG ORE WAS BEING DEVELOPED ON THE 800 FT LEVEL, FOLLOWED FOR 30 FT. SHIPMENTS OF 150 TONS/WK WERE BEING SHIPPED TO UTAH AT THAT TIME. IN 1912 SHIPMENTS WERE BEING MADE FROM THE DUMP AT THE RATE OF 40 TPD. MINE WAS LEASED TO ROY BICKNELL IN 1921 WHO SHIPPED SILVER ORE. IN 1920 40 TONS/WK WERE BEING SHIPPED. NO ACTIVITY AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN 1983.
