Comment (Deposit): MAIN ADIT WAS DRIVEN ON AN EAST-BEARING QUARTZ VEIN IN A SOUTH-DIPPING SHEAR. THE HOST ROCKS ARE BLACK FINE-GRAINED METASEDIMENTS, PROBABLY A SILTSTONE. SAMPLE 2857 WAS SELECTED FROM NEW AND OLD MATERIAL ON THE DUMPS THAT INCLUDED ARSENOPYRITE, PYRITE, AND POSSSIBLE SILVER/LEAD MINERALS.

Comment (Workings): MINED IN THE 1940'S BY AN ADIT. A 15-TON GRAVITY CONCENTRATOR WAS BUILT IN 1942. REMNANTS OF GRAVITY MILL AND LEACH PADS PRESENT IN 1984.

Comment (Development): MINED IN THE 1940'S AND INTERMITTENTLY THROUGH THE 1980'S. IN 1984, IT WAS REPORTED THAT NEW WORK HAD BEEN DONE ON THE MAIN SHAFT AND ON LEACH PADS, AS WELL AS UNDERGROUND PRODUCTION WITHIN THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS. LISTED AS AN ACTIVE HEAP LEACH GOLD OPERATION IN 1981, EMPLOYING 2 PERSONS; ALSO ACTIVE IN 1980.

Comment (Deposit): DISCOVERED IN THE 1930'S. MINED IN THE 1940'S BY AN ADIT. A 15-TON GRAVITY CONCENTRATOR WAS BUILT IN 1942.
