TO SOUTH FROM FACE OF CLIFF, VARIES FROM FEW IN.-3.5 FT. IN THICKNESS. FAINT TRACE OF COPPER SULFATE STAINING SEEN ON MOST OF ORE. HIGHEST GRADE ORE IN BANDS OF HEMATITE AND WHITE TO IRON-STAINED POROUS QUARTZ IN HEMATITE. ORE WAS GENERALLY HIGH-GRADE.
Comment (Geology): ROCK EXPOSED 600-700 FT. ABOVE BED OF CANYON IS SCHIST THAT HAS BEEN INTENSIVELY FOLDED. 400-500 FT OF BROWN, CRYSTALLINE LIMESTONE RESTS ON TOP OF SCHIST.
