Comment (Deposit): STREAM GRADIENT UNDER 50 FEET PER MILE. PLACERS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY PROSPECTED. MOST OF PLACER GROUND PROBABLY HAS BEEN DISCOVERED AND MINED OUT. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT

Comment (Deposit): MOST OF GOLD LIES ON BEDROCK OR CLOSE TO BEDROCK. IN PLACES GOLD EXTENDS DOWN INTO THE BEDROCK FOR 2 OR 3 FEET; IN PLACES GOLD EXTENDS UP INTO 2 OR 3 FEET OF GRAVEL. MOST OF MINING ON BENCH CLAIMS OVER A DISTANCE OF ABOUT 3 MILES ALONG THE NORTH BANK OF THE CREEK; THE BURRIED CHANNELS MINED IN PLACES LIE ON THE SECOND-TIER BENCH. BELOW TENDERFOOT CR.
