SOME SACKED ORE REMAINED AT THE MINE IN 1936 BUT MINE HAD BEEN ABANDONED.TOTAL PRODUCTION PROBABLY BETWEEN 1,000 AND 1,500 LONG TONS OF CHROMITE ALTHOUGH AS MUCH AS 3000 LONG TONS OF ORE HAS BEEN REPORTED.NEARLY 400 LONG TONS OF ORE AVERAGING 47-51 PERCENT CR2O3 HAD BEEN MINED THROUGH 1885. PROBABLY THE OPEN PIT MINE SHOWN IN THE NE 1/4 SE 1/4 OF THE SEC. ON USGS QUAD. CEDAR MTN., CALIF., 1956
