Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: MINE AREA IS IN BELT OF QUARTZ - MICA AND QUARTZ - MICA - CHIASTOLITE SCHIST, STRIKES N 30 - 40 W, DIPS ROUGHLY 60 NE.
Comment (Deposit): THE PRIMARY ORE CONSISTS OF CHALCOPYRITE AND PYRITE OR PYRRHOTITE; THERE IS SOME CARBONATE ORE IN THE UPPER PARTS OF THE SHOOTS. THE WORKINGS HAVE NO MEANS OF ACCESS AND THERE WAS NO EQUIPMENT ON THE PROPERTY IN 1954. A SMALL SHIPMENT OF OXIDIZED ORE WAS SHIPPED FR. THIS AREA IN 1954 BUT IT IS NOW KNOWN WHICH PROPERTY THE ORE WAS FROM.
Comment (Production): 1866 ; 50 TONS OF COPPER ORE WERE SMELTED AND SHIPPED PER WEEK. 1907 HIGH-GRADE COPPER ORE WAS STILL BEING MINED. 1954 OXIDIZED ORE SHIPPED FROM THE AREA.
Comment (Deposit): ORE SHOOTS IMPREGNATING SCHIST IN REPLACEMENT MASSES BORDERING NARROW QUARTZ VEINS.
