Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: DRIFTING OPERATIONS IN PROGRESS FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS (AS OF 191?) THE DETRITAL DEPOSIT (PREVOLCANIC GRAVELS) IS ABOUT 1500 FT. WIDE AND THE GRAVEL IS 60 FT. DEEP. DEEPEST CHANNEL WORKED IS SAID TO BE 350 FT. WIDE, THE MATERIAL BEING TAKEN OUT 6 FT. HIGH ABOVE BEDROCK.
Comment (Deposit): AU MAY HAVE EXTENDED INTO SEC. 21. IT CONTAINS FINE AND FLAKY GOLD. THE DEEPEST CHANNEL WITH BEDROCK ELEV. OF 350 FT. IS STATED TO LIE 50 FT. BELOW "STONE HOUSE"ALONG THE ROAD AND CONTAINED CHIEFLY QUARTZ GRAVEL.
