Comments
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: 3 BRECCIATED ZONES 250 FT. APART ALONG FISSURES CEMENTED, IMPREGNATED, AND PARTLY REPLACED BY MANGANESE OXIDE. ORE IS ACCOMPANIED BY CALCITE, JASPER AND HEMATITE. FISSURES OCCUR IN RHYOLITE AND RHYOLITE BRECCIA. ZONES CEMENTED BY MANGANESE OXIDE HAVE A WIDTH OF 2 TO 3 FT., A LENGTH OF 30 TO 100 FT, AND MAY BE 20 FT. THICK. THE OXIDE IS PARTLY HARD, BOTRYOIDAL PSILOMELANE AND PARTLY SOFT BLACK OXIDE.
