MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Location): GOOD ACCESS NORTH OF THE POLE LINE ROAD. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1972
Comment (Development): A FEW YEARS OF BOOM ACTIVITY FOLLOWED THE DISCOVERY OF HIGH-GRADE GOLD ORE, 1903-1907, INTERMITTENTLY ACTIVE SINCE THEN. DRILLING PROGRAM PLANNED BY COMINCO AMERICAN, INC. IN JUNE, 1986.
Comment (Deposit): ONE ADIT WAS SELECTED FOR SAMPLING IN 1986, BECAUSE OF ITS ACCESS. IT WAS IN HIGHLY BLEACHED AND ARGILLIZED RHYOLI-TE WITH SILICIFIED ZONES WITHIN IT. ADIT WAS DRIVEN ON A SHEAR- ZONE (SAMPLE 3151) ALONG LIMONITE-STAINED SILICIFIED PORTIONS- OF THE VEIN, ALTHOUGH THERE WAS NO VISIBLE MINERALIZATION (RE-PORTEDLY FREE GOLD). MOST VEINING OCCURS AS STRINGERS-THIS ONE- ABOUT 2 FT WIDE, BEARING N45E, 55 NW; IT APPEARS TO BE TYPICA-L OF THOSE EXAMINED. ANOTHER VEIN ALONG A SHEAR ZONE IS EXPOSE-D IN A SHAFT SOUTH OF THE CAMP AND WAS ALSO SAMPLED (3152). TH-IS VEIN BEARS N55E, DIP NW, 2 FT WIDE IN ALTERED AND BLEACHED -WHITE TUFF? STRINGER OF FE-OXIDE-STAINED QUARTZ UP TO 8 INCHES- THICK.
Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF INCLINED SHAFTS AND DRIFTS, TRENCHES, AND ADITS.2-COMPARTMENT VERTICAL SHAFT 150 FT DEEP.
Comment (Production): AMOUNT UNKNOWN
