CHERT IS IN FAULT. CONTACT WITH FRANCISCAN SANDSTONE. VERY LITTLE MANGANESE OXIDE IS PRESENT IN MAIN ORE BODY, MAINLY ALONG SEAMS AND CRACKS. ORE IS MAINLY BROWN BEMENTITE, SOME RHODOCHROSITE.
