Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Surface sampling and mapping and 10 drill holes.
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Kuroko
Comment (Deposit): Other Comments = Bud Group claim (near VABM Ruby) may be located 2 km west of the location shown of the Sunshine Creek prospect shown here. This discrepancy may be due to changes in claim group names and locations during various years (unpublished information, Kennecott Exploration Co.)
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Hitzman and others, 1982
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Prospect hosted in Ambler sequence of metamorphosed Devonian and Mississippian volcanic, volcaniclastic, and sedimentary rocks. Ore minerals are concentrated in a felsic tuffaceous sedimentary section of rocks containing numerous basalt sills and flows immediataly above a basal carbonate section (Hitzmann and others, 1986, p. 1592-1618). Two mineralized horizons are identified having a strike length of about 5000 ft (1.6 km) (Nana Development Corp., written commun., 1997).???
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
Comment (Geology): Age = Devonian
