Comments
Comment (Ownership): YUBA PLACER GOLD COMPANY IS A JOINT VENTURE BETWEEN PLACER SERVICE CORP., A WHOLELY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF THE ST. JOE MINERALS CORP., WHICH IS A SUBSIDIARY OF FLUOR CORP., AND YUBA NATURAL RESOURCES, INC.
Comment (Economic Factors): DURING 1980 AND 1981, THE YUBA PLACER GOLD COMPANY RENOVATED AND REBUILT THE OLD YUBA DREDGE NO. 21. THE MOST MAJOR MODIFICATION WAS THE EXTENSION OF THE BUCKET LINE AND DIGGING LADDER, THUS ENABLING THE DREDGE TO DIG TO 140 FT BELOW THE WATER LEVEL INSTEAD OF THE PREVIOUS 107 FT. THE SECOND DEVELOPMENT PLAN CALLS FOR PRELIMINAY ENGINEERING WORK FOR RENOVATION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF DREDGE NO. 17 DURING 1984. ACTUAL CONSTRUCTION WORK IS SCHEDULED FOR 1985-1986. AROUND MID-1986, IT SHOULD BE READY FOR COMMISSIONING. IT WILL BE ABLE TO DIG TO DEPTHS OF 175 FT, ALLOWING MOST TRACK AREAS TO BE MINED TO BEDROCK, RECOVERING MOST OF THE HIGH GRADE PART OF THE DEPOSIT. THE SECOND DREDGE IS EXPECTED TO DOUBLE ANNUAL CAPACITY AND THE GOLD AND SILVER OUTPUT.
Comment (Reserve-Resource): INSITU RESERVES ARE ESTIMATED AT 68,462,000 METRIC TONNES OF ORE AT A GRADE OF 0.136 GM AU/MT AND 0.012 GM AG/MT. RECOV- ERABLE INDICATED TONNES ARE ESTIMATED TO BE THE SAME AS THE IN-SITU TONNES. THERE IS NO MINE DILUTION FACTOR, PER SE, IN A DREDGING OPERATION. MATRIX 1 COLUMN 3 DENOTES COMPANY RESOURCE ESTIMATES FOR THE DEPOSIT AS OF 1986. MATRIX 1 COLUMN 5 DENOTES COMPANY RESOURCE ESTIMATES FOR THE DEPOSIT AS OF 1987.
