Comments
Comment (General): Unable to confirm exactly which mine on the ground is the Helmer. There are a number of diggings in the vicinity. Reference (MINOBRAS, p. 40) lumps all 4 mines (Helmer, Nelson, Heetland, and Sisson) into one brief description: "Uranium minerals in gray to buff sandstone (Fall River Formation), abundant carbonized plant life."
Comment (Identification): ABW combined and deleted duplicate Helmer records: 10256497 (C. Helmer Property) and 10303591 (Helmer Ranch). Neither had a verifiable reference source, nor any information specific to a point on the ground.
Comment (Ownership): Owner Operator of deleted 10303591 listed as "Helmer Brothers". Type of ownership of 10256497 not specified but listed as "Chris Helmer, Aladdin, Wyo." Helmer Ranch is labeled on the topo in W2 Sec. 20.
