Comment (Production): PRODUCTION PRIOR TO 1942 NOT INCLUDED, TOTAL DURING THAT PERIOD WAS 2686 FLASKS. MILL WAS LOCATED ON SITE AND IS NOW DISMANTLED. MINING METHOD WAS OPEN PIT; DRIFT.

Comment (Geology): OTHER MERCURY MINERAL IS "SCHUETTEITE" (MERCURY SULFATE). ANTIMONY COMPOUNDS PRESENT (KERMESITE, AN ANTIMONY OXY- SULFIDE). OTHERS MINERALS PRESENT; SCHUETTEITE AND KERMESITE.

Comment (Geology): OREBODY IS FLAT LYING WITH NO APPARENT STRIKE AND DIP ORE BODY ALSO CONTROLLED BY BEDDING. GENERAL SIZE OF ORE BODY IS SMALL. ORE IS FOUND IN OPALITE BLANKETS.

Comment (Names): CLAIM NAMES INCLUDE: CHRYSLER, KOLLSMAN, VALLEY VIEW, IBEX, CAROLYNE 1-3, AGOSE 1-2 & 4-7, AND CLOUDY DAY.

Comment (Reserve-Resource): RESERVE DATE: 1982.

Comment (Deposit): COMMODITY FOR ANTIMONY IS ANTIMONY OXYSULFIDE (KERMESITE) GENERAL LOCATION IS ABOUT 91 KM WEST OF TONOPAH AND 27 KM NW OF DYER. PUBLISHED PAST PRODUCTION DATA IS OBSCURE AND SOME PRODUCTION CREDITED TO THE B & B MINE BETWEEN 1957 AND 1970 WAS TAKEN FROM OTHER ORE BODIES NEARBY. MERCURY PRODUCTION FROM THE DISTRICT IS PROBABLY ABOUT 8,000 FLASKS. THE REMAINING RESERVES ARE LOW-GRADE AND LARGE TONNAGE.
