Comments

Comment (Reserve-Resource): MCCAHILL MINE (0490210014 IS NEARBY)

Comment (Workings): WATER SUPPLY - WATER WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO BE OBTAINED FROM THE ESCALANTE VALLEY TO THE WEST. SOME WATER MIGHT BE OBTAINED FROM FLOODED PITS NEARBY.

Comment (Deposit): THE EXACT STRIKE AND DIP ARE NOT KNOWN. THE ORE BODY STRIKES GENERALLY NORTH-SOUTH AND HAS A SHALLOW DIP TO THE WEST.

Comment (Economic Factors): ALL EXPLORATION WAS COMPLETED IN 1957.

Comment (Production): CONCENTRATE PRODUCED IS ESTIMATED AT 65.0% FE WITH 90% RECOVERY, 52.5% FE FEED GRADE, AND 7996.15 MTPD OUTPUT. IN THE PELLETIZING PLANT, 54.40 MTPD BENTONITE IS ADDED, THEREBY REDUCING THE PELLET GRADE TO 64.56% FE. RECOVERY IN THE PELLETIZING PLANT IS ASSUMED TO BE 100% WITH A FEED RATE OF 7996.15 MTPD AND AN OUTPUT OF 8050.55 MTPD PELLETS. OVERALL RECOVERY IS 90%.
