GROUP METASEDIMENTS. HOST ROCKS INCLUDE QUARTZITE, TUFF, INTERCALATED SHALE INTRUDED BY PORPHYRITIC DIKES EMANATING FROM THE NEARBY HYDER QUARTZ MONZONITE PLUTON. 1. GOLD CLIFF PREMIER: STAKED IN 1920 & 1925. NO ACTIVITY SINCE. A 20-FT. OPEN CUT EXPOSES A SHEAR ZONE CONTAINING SPHALERITE,CHALCOPYRITE,PYRITE & TETRAHEDRITE. ASSAYS GAVE 1 OZ AU/TON & 3 TO 4 OZ AG/TON. 2. BORDER CLAIMS: STAKED IN 1930. FORECLOSED TO STATE IN 1957. SOLD AT AUCTION 1970. 70-FT. ADIT DRIVEN ON A SHEAR ZONE W/MINERALIZED QTZ STRINGERS & VEIN.
