Comments
Comment (Location): The mill is about 15 miles NW of the Henderson mine, in the SW/4 sec. 25, T 2 S, R 78 W.
Comment (Production): Crushed ore from the mine is delivered via conveyor to stockpiles that feed 4 semi-autogenous grinding mills. Finely ground ore is sent to banks of flotation cells that concentrate the molybdenite (MoS2) product, which is then filtered, dried, packed, and shipped. The mill capacity is up to 32,000 tons of ore/day. About 8 lb. of MoS2 is recovered from each ton of ore processed. Tailings are transported by pipeline to a dam and pond 1 mile NW of the mill.
