Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Little Gold Creek is a small tributary to upper Gold Creek, one of the most prolific producers in the district. Reed (1938, p. 27-28) reported that a 76-foot shaft to bedrock was sunk about 200 feet from the mouth of Little Gold Creek, and although some gold was found, it was not in amounts sufficient to be workable. No other descriptive information is available on this occurrence.
