Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = The prospect is in the Border Zone phase of the Pennsylvanian to Permian, Ahtell quartz monzonite pluton (Richter, 1966; Richter, Lanphere, and Matson, 1975). It is about 1/4 mile east of the contact of the pluton with rocks of the Pennsylvanian to Permian, Tetelna Formation. The deposit is a a quartz or quartz-carbonate vein that contains galena. The vein strikes north-northeast and dips 32 degrees East (Richter, fig. 5, 1966; WGM Inc., 1979).
