Comments
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Placer PGE-Au; beach (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 39b)
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = No workings are present; there was surface sampling in the 1950's and probably at other times (Berryhill, 1963).
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Berryhill, 1963
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Berryhill (1963) collected 5 auger samples along this segment of the Kuskokwim Bay beach. Heavy mineral concentrates from these samples contained greater than 10 percent chromite and trace amounts of gold and platinum.
Comment (Geology): Age = Holocene.
