Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Alluvial placer Au (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 39a).
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Placer claims were located on Washington Creek, a tributary of the Sinuk River, in 1900 (Heiner and Porter, 1972, Kardex site Kx 52-93). Washington Creek was mentioned by Collier and others (1908, p. 216) as part of an area of auriferous bench gravels. Placer gold in Washington Creek could have been reworked from these bench gravels.
