Comments

Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Kuroko volcanogenic massive-sulfide deposit (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 28a); alternatively a Sierran Kuroko volcanogenic massive sulfide deposit (Bliss, 1992; model 28a1)

Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Grybeck, Berg, and Karl, 1984

Comment (Reserve-Resource): Reserves = None

Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Block of more than 600 claims staked in the late 1970's and active through at least 1981 (U.S. Bureau of Mines, 1980). The 1995, Alaska Department of Natural Resources Kardex claim data base shows that at least a few claims were still active.

Comment (Production): Production Notes = None

Comment (Geology): Age = Triassic.

Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = See PE063 for description of a prospect within this claim block. . Recent mapping by the USGS (Sue Karl, oral communication, 1998) indicates that much of this block of claims consists of Triassic Hyd Group rocks that host the volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits of the Duncan-Zarembo belt defined by Berg and Grybeck (1980), and Berg (1981).

Comment (Exploration): Status = Active?
