Comments
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Surface prospecting has occurred here but no mining is reported.
Comment (Geology): Age = Quaternary.
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Smith, 1909
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = A bench deposit along lower Chickamin Gulch contains fine, bright gold in sand (with some pebbles) that overlies solution-pitted marble (Smith, 1909). The sand is overlain by angular debris, possibly colluvium. Bedrock in the area is part of a lower Paleozic metasedimentary assemblage (Till and others, 1986).
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Placer Au-PGE (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 39a).
Comment (Exploration): Status = Probably inactive
