Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Deposit): Gold mineralization occurs along a northeast - trending fault which separates Tertiary Oddie Rhyolite and Fraction Tuff.
Comment (Development): Meridian Land and Mineral Co. of Billings, Montana owned the property in 1982. Meridian had about 150 claims over the area. The mine dumps were trenched for sampling and Meridian did some drilling in 1982 north of the shaft. The property was evaluated in 1991-93. Eastfield Resources, Ltd. controlled the property in 2004.
Comment (Economic Factors): In 1988 the property contained a reported 500,000 tons grading 0.04 ounces of gold per ton and 0.4 ounces of silver per ton. Estimated reserves and resources in 2004 were 6.3 million tons of material grading 0.023 ounces of gold per ton. Reserves at the Hill of Gold deposit in 1988 were reported as 500 Kilotonnes of ore grading 0.04 opt Au and 0.4 opt Ag. In 1996, reserves were reported as 1.629 million tons grading 0.026 ounces of gold per ton.
Comment (Geology): Drill holes encountered spotty gold mineralization.
Comment (Identification): This record contain all data from earlier MRDS record # M241884 plus additional material.
