About the MRDS Data:
All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Deposit): Workings explore bleached zones in rhyolitic welded tuff. Manganese oxides and iron oxides are present in sheared parts of the alteration zones in some of the workings, and some thin quartz veins are present. A sample of remaining vein material was found to contain 2000 ppm silver and more than 2% lead. A sample of altered welded tuff contained 500 ppm silver and a small amount of lead and manganese.
Comment (Economic Factors): 1910-1956 total district production was 102,614 oz Ag, 386.11 oz Au, 45,041 lbs. Pb, 7274 lbs. Cu, and 11,559 lbs. Zn, of which about 80% was mined from the Pyramid and adjacent mines. In 1998, drill-indicated reserves for the property were 62,000 ounces of gold and 3.5 million ounces of silver.
Comment (Workings): The mine was developed in the early days by an inclined shaft, several adits, and some trenches. More recent surface exploration was conducted.
Comment (Development): Breckenridge listed as not active in mining in 1999.
