MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Commodity): Ore Materials: gold
Comment (Commodity): Gangue Materials: quartz
Comment (Deposit): The deposit is a vein deposit. Ore occurs in a quartz vein 6 inches to 6 feet thick, averaging 2 feet, dipping 8 degrees, following the hanging wall side of a diabase dike.
Comment (Economic Factors): Production from 1934 to 1940 was estimated at $90,000 to$100,000. About 400 tons of ore were milled, and about 340 tons of ore were shipped to Utah for smelting. In 1938 there was a reported resource of 110,000 tons with assay value of 0.16 ounces of gold per ton, plus another 117,000 tons, with estimated grade of 0.15 ounces of gold per ton. 1940 reserves were reported as 240,000 tons of ore. The post-1940 reserve was reported as 100,000 tons grading 0.13 unces of gold per ton.
Comment (Identification): This records encompasses the area covered by earlier MRDS record M031059 and includes all material from that record.
Comment (Workings): The mine is developed by old underground workings including two inclined shafts, and an open pit.
Comment (Development): Production from 1934 to 1940 was estimated at $90,000 to$100,000. About 400 tons of ore were milled, and about 340 tons of ore were shipped to Utah for smelting. The property was idle in 1942, possibly mined out.
