Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. Comment (Identification): Properties likely in the Powder River Basin include: Nichols Ranch, Hank, Little Butte, Jane Dough, Rolling Pin, C-line, Arkose, NAMMCO, Reno, West North Butte, Doughstick, Collins Draw (Uranerz Energy Corp.); Acadia, Cochrane, Mindy, Ella (Bayswater Uranium Corp.) [note--some of these sites may be in Montana, not Wyoming]; Moore Ranch (
Comment (Location): Acadia/Cochrane, Ella, and Mindy are all in Montana.
Comment (General): Smith Ranch - Highland is a very large ISR deposit. It is a cluster of many contributing properties.
Comment (General): Uranerz Energy Corp and Bayswater Uranium Cop. both own properties in the Powder River Basin, however neither describes the location of their properties in enough detail to locate them. The Supposedly, Kilgore Minerals Ltd. (now Bayswater Uranium Corp.) filed a NI-43-101 on June 19, 2007, however ABW was unable to locate a copy of that report online or through www.sedar.com (where such report should have been filed. Kilgore is not listed in www.sedar.com, but Bayswater Uranium (formerly Kilgore Minerals Ltd) has a number of reports on that date, none of which are Technical Reports.). In June 2007, Kilgore Minerals reported that Kilgore Minerals Ltd-- Montana & Wyoming Uranium Properties - National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report prepared by James R. Guilinger of World Industrials Minerals, LLC was filed on SEDAR. (http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Kilgore-Reports-Filing-of-Technical-Report-TSX-VENTURE-KAU-745202.htm)
Comment (Production): As of 2008, Smith Ranch - Highlands ISR was the only producing uranium mine in Wyoming.
