Comment (Geology): BEDDING OF WALL ROCKS STRIKES NW AND DIPS AT LOW ANGLES TO THE SE. TETRAHEDRITE IS RIMMED AND VEINED BY SECONDARY CHALCOCITE AND COVELLITE. SMALL GRAINS OF OTHER MINERALS ARE INCLUDED IN THE LARGER TETRAHEDRITE GRAINS.

Comment (Development): PRIOR TO 1959 NAME OF MINE WAS COPPER MASK. AS OF 1934 , MINE CONSISTED OF 9 UNPATENTED CLAIMS. MINE INACTIVE AS OF 1977 , BUT SOME DEVELOPMENT WORK DID OCCUR IN THE MID - 1970'S. ; ECON.COM: DURING 1961 , OPERATORS WERE ERECTING A CONCENTRATING MILL
Comment (Deposit): MINERALIZATION IS HIGHLY IRREGULAR. SOME PORTIONS OF THE VEINS ARE HIGHLY MINERALIZED, OTHER PORTIONS ARE BARREN OF SULFIDES. MINERALIZATION IS MOST INTENSE WITHIN THE HOST QUARTZITIC UPPER STRATA AND IS LACKING IN THE THIN BEDDED ARGILLACEOUS STRATA.
Comment (Workings): FOUR ADITS WHICH FROM BOTTOM TO TOP ARE 600 , 290 , 470 AND 150 FT LONG. AS OF 1961 ALL FOUR ADITS WERE ACCESSIBLE EXCEPT FOR A PORTION WITHIN THE LOWEST ADIT WHICH WAS CAVED. 1935 PUBLICATION MENTIONS 2000 FT OF DRIFTS AND 200 FT OF RAISES.
