Comments

Comment (Workings): MINE DEVELOPED BY TWO SHAFTS AND SEVERAL DRIFTS. OLDER SHAFT IS 4 BY 8 FT IN SECTION AND 170 FT DEEP, SLIGHTLY INCLINED TO SW ALONG VEIN. FIRST LEVEL DEVELOPED AT 50 FT DEPTH BY 75-FT DRIFT AND STOPES. SECOND LEVEL AT BOTTOM OF SHAFT DEVELOPED BY 125-FT DRIFT TO SE AND 190-FT DRIFT TO NW. SECOND SHAFT, 450 TO 500 FT NW OF FIRST SHAFT AND ON VEIN, IS 25 FT DEEP WITH 100-FT DRIFT DEVELOPED AT BOTTOM. OLD 5-STAMP MILL LOCATED JUST NORTH OF MAIN SHAFT.

Comment (Location): ON DIVIDE BETWEEN CHANCE GULCH AND STUBBS GULCH 1.7 MILE NW OF IRIS . ELEV AND LAT-LONG GIVEN ARE FOR SHAFT IN SW NE SW SW SEC. 10. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1976)

Comment (Production): PARTIAL PRODUCTION RECORD. PRE-1922 PRODUCTION FIGURES UNKNOWN

Comment (Deposit): MINE DEVELOPED ON QUARTZ VEIN TRENDING GENERALLY N 70 W, CUTTING AND CONFINED TO METAGABBRO SILL THAT INTRUDED SCHIST GENERALLY ALONG FOLIATION THAT TRENDS N 15 TO 45 W, 55 TO 90 SW. LULU FAULT TRENDS GENERALLY N 45 W AND DISPLACES SCHIST UNIT ON SW AGAINST DUBOIS FELSITE UNIT (DACITIC MBR OF IRIS FM, IN AFIFI'S LOCAL TERMINOLOGY) ON NE. CUTTING ACROSS SCHIST AND AMPHIBOLITE SW OF LULU FAULT ARE BRANCHING METARHYOLITE DIKES TRENDING N 65 W AND GENERALLY N 72 W. AFIFI DESCRIBES VEINDEPOSITS ALONG LULU FAULT AS POST-METAMORPHISM EPIGENETIC, CONSISTING OF QUARTZ-PYRITE+/-BIOTITE+/-SERICITE+/-TOURMALINE+/-CARBONATE+/-FLUORITE. VEIN IS SPATIALLY AND PROBABLY GENETICALLY RELATED TO GOLD BASIN QUARTZ DIORITE STOCK TO SOUTH.

Comment (Commodity): OCCURRENCE OF TE IS QUESTIONABLE; MILS LISTS ZN BUT THIS IS UNVERIFIED
