Comments
Comment (Workings): SURFACE PROSPECT
Comment (Deposit): DEPOSIT LIES ALMOST DIRECTLY ON AXIS OF CROSS MOUNTAIN ANTICLINE. PROSPECT MAY HAVE BEEN LOCATED ON BASIS OF GREEN COLOR IN SHALE, WHICH MAY HAVE APPEARED AS OXIDIZED CU MINERALIZATION IN STRATABOUND DEPOSIT. AT THE PROSPECT 2.5 MILES NW, GREEN COLOR IN LODORE SS. CAUSED BY GLAUCONITE. GLAUCONITE AT THIS LOCALITY IS UNCONFIRMED.
Comment (Commodity): ACCORDING TO DYNI (1968), BEDS PROSPECTED BECAUSE OF GREENISH COLOR IN ROCK. IF CU MINERALS ARE PRESENT, THEY COULD BE OXIDIZED TO MALACHITE, AZURITE, AND PERHAPS BROCHANTITE, SIMILAR TO OCCURRENCES IN BLUE MOUNTAIN AREA TO WEST.
Comment (Location): NEAR SOUTH END OF CROSS MOUNTAIN ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1974)
