Comments

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1971)

Comment (Location): Political location for record is Granite county. Lat/long plot in adjacent Powell county. Original coordinates for line#1 were: lat/long NAD27 46-27-0N 113-0-22W (46.45 -113.00611); UTM N E Z; PLSS line# 1: Meridian- Montana Principal, TWNSHP 008N, RNG 011W, Sect 17, Sect_fract . The relative position information states "ABOUT 3.4 KM NE OF ROSE MOUNTAIN (+/- 1 km)". In Google Earth, lat/long plots 2.2 km E of Rose Mountain, in Powell county. A duplicate MAS record with almost identical coordinates, 10245467, has county name Powell. The Rose Mountain district does extend into Granite county but this site is probably located in Powell county. Need to check U.S. Geological Survey Dolus Lake Rare II Miscellaneous Investigations Map.

Comment (Deposit): BOXWORK LIMONITE IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VEIN AND SERICITIZED HALOS SURROUNDING THE VEINS ARE COMMON.

Comment (Workings): 5 OPEN AND ONE CAVED ADIT, ONE TRENCH
