Comments
Comment (Deposit): COUNTRY ROCKS CONSIST OF SOUTH-AND SW-DIPPING CUTLER FM RED BEDS INTRUDED BY DIORITE-MONZONITE PORPHYRY SILLS GRADING INTO DIORITE. VEIN TREND VARIES FROM N 82 W EAST OF MINE TO N 60 W NEAR MINE, DIPPING STEEPLY BOTH NE AND SW. JENNIE LIND VEIN PROBABLY INTERSECTS EAGLE PASS VEIN. LOWER ADIT EXPOSES 2- TO 7-FT-WIDE SILICIFIED FRACTURE ZONE WITH DISSEMINATED PYRITE AND GRANULAR QUARTZ. DUMP ORE SHOWED INTERGROWN QUARTZ AND BARITE WITH GREENISH TELLURIDE-BEARING(?) QUART WITH GALENA, SPHALERITE, AND PYRITE. ORE SHOOT MAY HAVE BEEN CONTROLLED BY INTERSECTION OF NW-TRENDING JENNIE LIND VEIN WITH NE-TRENDING SHEAR ZONES NEAR FACE OF TUNNEL.

Comment (Workings): MINE DEVELOPED BY THREE MAIN ADITS, SEVERAL SHORT ADITS, AND OPEN CUTS. UPPER TWO TUNNELS DRIVEN AT LEAST 200 FT BUT ARE INACCESSIBLE. LOWER TUNNEL DRIVEN VARIABLY N 60 TO 80 W FOR 500 FT TO FACE, WITH SHORT BRANCH TUNNELS AT 380, 430, AND 482 FT FROM PORTAL; 30-FT STOPE AT 450 TO 480 FT FROM PORTAL.
