Comment (Deposit): MUCH OF INTERIOR OF SINBAD VALLEY CONSISTS OF DEFORMED PENNSYLVANIAN EVAPORITES, SOME IN FAULT CONTACT WITH TRIASSIC AND PERMIAN RED BEDS. ALONG SOUTH AND SW SIDE OF GRABEN, TRIASSIC RED BEDS COMPLEXLY FAULTED WITH JURASSIC SANDSTONES AND SHALES. DISSEMINATED CU SULFIDES OCCUR IN WINGATE SANDSTONE AND KAYENTA FM (JURASSIC) SANDSTONE ALONG FAULTS. ORE CONSISTS OF CHALCOCITE, MALACHITE, AND AZURITE IMPREGNATING SANDSTONE IN LAYERS AND SMALL IRREGULAR BODIES. AT MAIN ADITS CU OCCURS AT INTERSECTIONS OF FAULTS WITH PARADOX MEMBER LIMESTONE, ALSO ALONG FRACTURES AND JOINTS.

Comment (Location): UNPATENTED CLAIMS LIE AT SE END OF SINBAD VALLEY BELOW SINBAD RIDGE. ELEV AND LAT-LONG GIVEN ARE FOR PROSPECTS IN W2 W2 SEC. 27 DETERMINED FROM AIRPHOTOS AND THAT MOST CLOSELY CORRESPOND TO WORKINGS DESCRIBED IN HOLMES AND HARRER (1952). ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1975

Comment (Workings): ADIT NO. 1 DRIVEN S 70 W FOR 130 FT WITH 43-FT WINZE AT 105 FT FROM PORTAL. ADIT NO. 2 LOCATED 265 FT NW OF NO. 1, DRIVEN GENERALLY S 10 E FOR 165 FT. ADIT NO. 3 LOCATED 115 FT NW OF NO. 2, DRIVEN N 40 W FOR 325 FT WITH 65-FT SW CROSS-CUT AT 315 FT FROM PORTAL AND 40-FT NE CROSS-CUT AT FACE. SEVEN SURFACE CUTS.
