Comment (Location): PROSPECTS LIE ON EAST SIDE OF UNNAMED TRIBUTARY OF WOLF CREEK 250 TO 500 FT NE OF LILLY BELLE MINE. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1975
Comment (Deposit): THORIUM VEINS IN THIS AREA ARE ONE OF FOUR ENVIRONMENTS OF TH OCCURRENCE KNOWN IN POWDERHORN-IRON HILL AREA AND ARE PROBABLY RELATED TO EMPLACEMENT OF LATE PRECAMBRIAN SYENITES NORTH AND WEST OF IRON HILL AND OF YOUNGER LATE PRECAMBRIAN OR CAMBRIAN CARBONATITES AT IRON HILL. BEDDING OF BLACK CANYON SCHIST AND GNEISS COUNTRY ROCK TRENDS N 83 W TO N 82 E, DIPS 20 TO 30 SOUTH, AND IS INTRUDED BY COMPOSITE SYENITE INTRUSION. GRANITE DIKES WITHIN PORPHYRITIC SYENITE TREND GENERALLY NW AND NNE; THOSE IN SCHIST JUST OUTSIDE CONTACT TREND GENERALLY NE.
Comment (Workings): THREE SURFACE PROSPECT PITS
Comment (Geology): OTHER MINERALS LISTED ABOVE ARE GENERAL OCCURRENCES REPORTED FOR TH VEINS IN AREA; ALL MAY NOT NECESSARILY OCCUR AT THIS SITE.
