Comment (Geology): THE GRANITE IS OF A TRANSITION TYPE RICH IN FERROMAGNESIAN MINERALS AND PLAGIOCLASE AND MORE COARSLY CRYSTALLINE THAN THE COMMON ROCK.
Comment (Location): AT THE MOUTH OF THE CANYON FROM ELK PARK.
Comment (Deposit): A VEIN WAS CUT WHICH CARRIED A LARGE AMOUNT OF PYRITE AND SOME CHALCOPYRITE. THE PYRITE IS CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH THE FERROMAGNESIAN MINERALS OF THE QUARTZ MONZONITE.
