Comment (Deposit): MINE LOCATED NORTH OF LAKE CITY CALDERA WALL IN UNCOMPAHGRE CALDERA MOAT-FILL SEQUENCE, ALONG PROBABLE CONCENTRIC FAULT OR FRACTURE TRENDING N 50 W, 70 SW. VEIN LIES IN SLACK'S (1980) BARITE/PRECIOUS METALS ASSEMBLAGE, OUTER RHODOCHROSITE-TETRAHEDRITE ZONE. FAULT CHARACTERIZED BY SLICKENSIDES ON WEST SIDE OF VEIN AND BY CONSIDERABLE UNSTABLE CLAY AND MUD GOUGE.

Comment (Workings): 600-FT DRIFT TUNNEL PROBABLY DRIVEN GENERALLY NORTH; AT 250 FT FROM PORTAL, 350-FT DRIFT DRIVEN FROM MAIN DRIFT AT 20- TO 30-DEG ANGLE TO NW.
