Comments

Comment (Location): IN A SHALLOW BASIN AT THE HEAD OF KEARNS GULCH.

Comment (Production): $3000 IS REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN PRODUCED.

Comment (Geology): MAY BE PART OF NANCY HANKS VEIN.

Comment (Location): Political location in record is Granite county. The MRDS location-problem GIS test indicated the lat/long fell in adjacent Missoula county. However, Google Earth plots it 250 meters inside Granite county. Duplicate record 10148838 plots 1100m to the SW, even farther inside Granite county. This record's relative position description ABOUT 1MI NW OF GARNET AND 0.5MI N OF CASCADE MINE agrees with its lat/long. Also, location comment IN A SHALLOW BASIN AT THE HEAD OF KEARNS GULCH agrees. One possible caveat, Kearns Gulch headwaters, as drawn on the USGS topo, extends slightly into Missoula county. In contrast, the duplicate record lacks corroborating location information so it's lat/long will be changed to agree with this record's, which will remain unchanged.
