Comments
Comment (Location): 0.5 MI E OF FLATHEAD MINE
Comment (Production): A SMALL AMOUNT OF AG-PB ORE WAS PRODUCED.
Comment (Deposit): ORE BODIES DISCOVERED THUS FAR ARE SMALL. DEPOSIT BELIEVED TO HAVE FORMED AT A SHALLOW DEPTH
Comment (Geology): TWO STAGES OF MINERALIZATION: FINE GRAINED QUARTZ AND PYRITE WERE FORMED DURING THE FIRST STAGE; THE ROCK WAS THEN FRACTURED AND THE FRACTURES WERE HEALED, LARGELY BY VERY FINE GRAINED QUARTZ, BARITE AND SULFIDES. LATITE HAS A CELLULAR STRUCTURE RESULTING FROM LEACHING AND REPLACEMENT OF FELOSPAR PHENOCRYSTS.
