Comments
Comment (Development): EARLY ORE WENT TO SWANSEA, WALES SMELTER. OXIDIZED ORE SUPPLIED LOCAL SMELTERS UNTIL SULPHIDE ORES WERE REACHED. SULPHIDES HAVE BEEN WORKED SPORATICALLY SINCE 1890'S ; ECON.COM: DIFFICULT TO PREVENT CAVE-INS IN CLAY-LIKE WALL-ROCK, ORES MUST BE SEPARATED
Comment (Deposit): SULPHIDE ORE ALTERNATED WITH SOFT, ALTERED QUARTZ MONZONITE BANDS AS MUCH AS 12 FEET WIDE. ORE IS SLIGHTLY OXIDIZED AT 80 FEET.
Comment (Workings): 245-FOOT SHAFT WITH LEVELS AT 70, 101, AND 134 FEET. WATER UP TO 70-FT. LEVEL IN 1972. MINE MAPS SHOW 134-FT. LEVEL FARTHEST ADVANCED.
