Comment (Geology): THE GRANITE HAS BEEN DEEPLY DECAYED SO THAT ITS EXPOSURES NOW CONSIST OF QUARTZ, CHLORITE, AND KAOLINIZED FELDSPAR. THE QUARTZ, WHICH IS OF YELLOWISH-WHITE COLOR, IS LOCALLY HONEYCOMBED AND CONTAINS MANY SMALL BUNCHES OF BROWN TO BLACK IRON OXIDE.
