Comment (Deposit): FISSURE VEIN WITH GOUGE ON BOTH WALLS.

Comment (Workings): 30 FT. SHAFT AND 40 FT. TUNNEL ON THE POCAHONTAS CLAIM, A 40 FT. INCLINE ON THE MINNEHAHA CLAIM. OTHER WORKS CONSISTS OF SEVEN OPEN CUTS AT INTERVALS OF 100 FT.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: FOOTWALL IS CALAVERAS SLATES, HANGING WALL-PORPHYRY (POSSIBLY SCHISTS), ROCK IN WHICH COPPER BODIES ARE FOUND IS LARGELY EPIDOTE FILLED WITH SMALL GRAINS OF NATIVE COPPER. THE KIDNEYS SHOW LARGE LUMPS OF NATIVE COPPER, WITH RED OXIDE AND CARBONATES.
