Comments

Comment (Deposit): BEMENTITE LENSES WITH CINNABAR VEINLETS. THERE ARE TWO MAIN LENSES AND OTHER ERRATICALLY DISTRIBUTED PODS IN BASALT AND LIMESTONE. MINERALIZATION IS CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH A HIGHLY SILICEOUS, IRON-STAINED ROCK THAT HAS APPARENTLY REPLACED THE BASALT.

Comment (Deposit): SEE ALSO MRDS RECORD M700441

Comment (Location): PARTIALLY UNSURVEYED. HECKLES NOT LABELED ON TOPO MAP

Comment (Workings): 2 TRENCHES, 2 DIAMOND DRILL HOLES

Comment (Development): IN 1954 THE USBM DRILLED TWO HOLES, 45 AND 66 FT LONG, BUT FOUND NO MINERALIZATION AT THE BASALT-LIMESTONE CONTACT
