Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Location): ON SW SPUR OF MINERAL HILL.
Comment (Development): WINZE, CROSSCUTS, AND ADITS
Comment (Geology): THE COUNTRY ROCK IS GRANITE, SLIGHTLY SHEARED AND ALTERED AND CUT BY NUMEROUS DIKES OF GRANODIORITE PORPHYRY, MOST OF WHICH TREND NE. IN THE LOWER ADIT THE LODE IS CUT AND DISPLACED A FEW FT TO THE NE BY A TRANSVERSE PORPHYRY DIKE. ; GEOL.DESC: WALL ROCK SERICITIZED, SLIGHTLY MINERALIZED TO 1 FT. FROM VEIN
Comment (Deposit): LOOSE MASS OF GRANITE WITH WHICH FRAGMENTS OF VEIN QUARTZ ARE MINGLED. THE LODE HAS A CLEAN-CUT FOOTWALL, BUT THE HANGING WALL IS NOT WELL DEFINED. THE VEIN FILLING CONSISTS OF COARSE INTERLOCKING ORE GRAINS. THE WALL ROCK CONTAINS A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE ORE SULFIDES ALONG SEAMS. IN PLACES THE SULFIDE MINERALS, OF WHICH GALENA IS THE MOST ABUNDANT, FORM 50 % OR MORE OF THE VEIN FILLING.
Comment (Workings): THE UNDERGROUND WORKS AGGREGATE ABOUT 200 FT, DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN TWO ADIT LEVELS ONE OF WHICH IS 40 FT LONG AND THE OTHER, 60 FT LOWER, 130 FT LONG, WITH SHORT CROSSCUTS. THE TWO LEVELS ARE CONNECTED BY A WINZE NEAR THE FACE OF THE UPPER ONE.
