Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Deposit): IRON-STAINED QUARTZITE; GOLD PROSPECT, COPPER PROSPECT. VEIN SAID TO CARRY 3% CU AND $7./TON IN AU (1910)
Comment (Workings): OLD DISCOVERY PIT, 2 ADITS
Comment (Geology): THE GRANODIORITE IS EVIDENTLY ALTERED BUT THE ONLY REFERENCE TO THE TYPE OF ALTERATION DESCRIBES A DENSE GRANODIORITE BEARING DISSEMINATED PYRITE, CALCITE AND GREEN (CHLORITIZED?) HORNBLENDE. SERICITIZATION OF THE FELDSPARS HAS ALSO OCCURRED.
Comment (Deposit): TWO ADITS MAKE UP THE MAIN WORKINGS. ONE A 130 FOOT ADIT IS 200 FEET VERTICALLY ABOVE THE SECOND ADIT WHICH IS 200 FEET LONG. THE ADITS INTERSECT A VEIN WHICH SUPPOSEDLY RUNS 3 PERCENT COPPER AND 7 DOLLARS GOLD PER TON (SCHRADER, P. 155.) ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
