Analytical Data
Analytical Data: BAGBY, ET AL (1985) IDENTIFIED A LARGE MULTIELEMENT (AU, AS, SB, HG, TL, AG) SOIL ANOMALY COVERING PARTS OF ALL KNOWN ORE ZONES. SAMPLES CONTAINING ANOMALOUS HG LIE APPROXIMATELY 60 M DIRECTLY ABOVE ORE, WHEREAS SAMPLES CONTAINING ANOMALOUS TL ARE OFFSET APPROXIMATELY 15 M TO THE SIDE OF KNOWN ORE. KNOWN ORE ZONES ALSO CORRELATE SPATIALLY WITH CLUSTERS OF 3 OR MORE SAMPLES CONTAINING ANOMALOUS CONCENTRATIONS OF AU-HG, AU-SB, OR AS.

Comments
Comment (Location): DEE IS THE NORTHERNMOST DEPOSIT OF THE CARLIN TREND, ALTHOUGH SOME AUTHORS CONTINUE THE TREND NORTHWARD TO INCLUDE THE HOLLISTER OREBODIES. . INFO FROM LAND.ST :1972; PREVIOUS QUAD DESIGNATION = MCDERMITT (1971) 1:250000; PREVIOUS QUAD DESIGNATION = SANTA RENIA FIELDS (1970) 1:24000
Comment (Development): EXPL.COM: THE ORIGINAL DISCOVERY WAS MADE IN BOULDER CREEK IN 1980 BY DELAMARE, WORKING FOR CORDEX EXPLORATION CO. SUBSEQUENT DRILLING OF 247 HOLES TOTALLING 120,000 FT. LOCATED THE MAIN AND RIDGE OREBODIES. A MINE FEASIBILITY STUDY WAS COMMISSIONED IN 1982. THE PRODUCTION DECISION WAS MADE IN APRIL, 1983. PRODUCTION OF MILL GRADE ORE BEGAN IN 1984. A HEAP LEACHING OPERATION TO TREAT LOWER GRADE ORE COMMENCED JUNE 1, 1985. ; TOTAL$: 21.0 ; ECON.COM: CASH COSTS OF AU PRODUCTION WERE <$200/OZ. IN 1987, $204/OZ. IN 1988, $247/OZ. IN 1989, AND $264/OZ. IN 1990. MINING COSTS WERE $6 PER TON MILLED IN 1987. THE DEE MINE HAS A PROJECTED MINE LIFE OF NINE YEARS AND HAS CREATED 100 PERMANENT NEW JOBS WITH A PAYROLL OF $3.0 MILLION PER YEAR. TOTAL EXPENDITURE ON PAYROLL, SUPPLIES, SERVICES, TAXES, AND ROYALTIES EXCEEDS $7.0 MILLION PER YEAR.
Comment (Workings): DEE HAS A 900 TPD CAPACITY CYANIDE LEACHING MILL WITH A CARBON-IN-PULP CIRCUIT TO RECOVER GOLD. THE HEAP LEACH IS PLANNED TO TREAT APPROX. 0.5 MILLION TONS PER YEAR. APPROXIMATELY 55% AU RECOVERY IS ACHIEVED FROM HEAP LEACHING OVER A SIX WEEK PERIOD. AVERAGE RATIO OF WASTE TO COMBINED ORE IS 6:1. THE TOTAL AREA DISTURBED BY THE OPERATIONS WILL NOT EXCEED 400 ACRES.
Comment (Geology): WESTERN FACIES, UPPER PLATE ROCKS HOST THE ORE.
Comment (Deposit): DEE CONSISTS OF TWO OREBODIES, THE MAIN AND RIDGE ZONES. DIMENSIONS ARE FOR THE MAIN OREBODY.
Comment (Reserve-Resource): PROJECTED ANNUAL RECOVERY WAS 40000 OZ. AU/YR. 1984 FIGURES REPRESENT COMBINED PRE-MINING RESERVE ESTIMATES FOR THE MAIN AND RIDGE OREBODIES. 1990 FIGURES REPRESENT PROVEN AND PROBABLE RESERVES AS OF 12/31/90.
Comment (Production): 1988 AU RECOVERY WAS 57.07%, FOR A RECOVERABLE GRADE OF 0.06 OPT AU. 1989 AU RECOVERY WAS 85.60%, FOR A RECOVERABLE GRADE OF 0.04 OPT AU. 1990 AU RECOVERY WAS 81.40%, FOR A RECOVERABLE GRADE OF 0.04 OPT AU.
