Comments
Comment (Location): UNSURVEYED. ON A ROCKY GLACIATED BENCH ABOVE TIMBER LINE
Comment (Development): IN 1940'S, AN UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO RECOVER FREE GOLD FROM SERPENTINE USING A SMALL HOMEMADE MILL.
Comment (Deposit): 1-IN.- TO 4-FT-THICK QUARTZ VEINS TRACEABLE AT SURFACE FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED FEET. SEVERAL VEINS ARE INTENSELY FOLDED AND MOST HAVE BEEN FAULTED. THE QUARTZ IS UNUSUALLY VUGGY. THE GOLD AND SILVER VALUES ARE FOUND IN IRON OXIDE STAINED QUARTZ; GOLD IS ALSO PRESENT IN SMALL LENTICULAR BODIES OF SERPENTINE AND TALC.
Comment (Workings): SEVERAL SHALLOW PROSPECT PITS IN SERPENTINE; SHORT ADITS IN QUARTZ VEINS. THE LONGEST ADIT IS 10 FT.
