Analytical Data: ANALYSIS OF THE LIMONITE IS AS FOLLOWS: 39.67% FE, 19.43% SIO2, 0.153% P, 0.013% S. ALTHOUGH THE IRON CONTENT IS NEARLY 40 PERCENT, THE LIMONITE IS CLASSED AS LOW-GRADE IRON ORE BECAUSE OF ITS HIGH SILICA AND PHOSPHORUS CONTENT.

Comment (Deposit): TYPICAL OF, SEVERAL BOG DEPOSITS IN THE VICINITY OF BELLINGHAM, FERNDALE, AND LYNDEN. THE STURMAN DEPOSIT COVERS 1 ACRE TO AN AVERAGE DEPTH OF 2 FT. THE HERRINGA DEPOSIT COVERS ABOUT 5 ACRES, AND IS FROM 0-3 FT IN DEPTH.
