Comments
Comment (Commodity): A GENERAL LACK OF PGE-BEARING MINERALS SUGGESTS THE PGE ARE CONTAINED WITHIN OTHER MINERAL STRUCTURES. MINERALOGY IS ASSUMED TO BO THE SAME AS AT DRAKE MINE
Comment (Location): IN FLATHEAD INDIAN RESERVATION. LOCATION GIVEN IS SOUTHERN ADIT OF THE TWO SHOWN ON MAP FOR LUCKY STRIKE
Comment (Production): ORE WAS PROBABLY MINED FROM THE SURFACE
Comment (Deposit): 5 SMALL QUARTZ VEINS ARE EXPOSED IN AN OPEN CUT. DEPOSIT IS PROBABLY SIMILAR TO THAT AT DRAKE MINE. IT LIES NORTH OF DRAKE MINE WITHIN SAME DIKE; UNPUBLISHED MODEL NAME: REVAIS CREEK CU-AU-PGE.
Comment (Workings): 3 ACCESSIBLE ADITS IN 1963. NO STOPES OBSERVED IN WORKINGS
Comment (Geology): DIKE CAN BE TRACED FOR 8,000 FT ALONG REVAIS CREEK. ALTHOUGH THE DIKE IS NOT CALLED PART OF THE PURCELL SILLS IN THE LITERATURE, IT IS SAID THAT THE DIKE IS POSSIBLY RELATED TO SILLS LOWER IN THE BELT SEQUENCE
Comment (Deposit): RECORD DC11293 HAS BEEN MERGED AND DELETED. SEE ALSO: MRDS W026566.
Comment (Development): NEW DEVELOPMENT WORK BEGAN IN 1972 BUT ENDED IN THE MID 1970'S
