Comments
Comment (Development): BULLDOZER TRENCHING & DIAMOND DRILLING CONDUCTED BY U.S. BUR. MINES. FROM 1946 - 1949. 1948 U.S.M.B. COMPLETED TOPOGRAPHIC & GEOLOGIC MAPS OF AREA.
Comment (Deposit): DEPOSIT IN LOWER PORTION OF UPPER GASTROPOD LIMESTONE BEDS. LARGEST ORE BODY FOUND ON NOSE OF ANTICLINE. SHAPE DETERMINED BY THOSE OF REPLACED BEDS. THE VEIN IN PART FOLLOWS THE BEDING PLANE AND IN PART CUTS ACROSS A BED OF LIMESTONE. MAIN ORE BODIES FOUND AT INTERSECTION OF FAULT ZONES WITH LST BEDS. BETWEEN 300-350 FT LEVEL OF MINE, MINERALIZATION DECREASES WITH DIMINISHED GRADE.
Comment (Workings): IN 1940 100-TON FLOATION MILL ERECTED NEAR FOREST ROSE MINE TO TREAT PB & ZN ORE.
Comment (Production): PRODUCTION IS FOR FOREST ROSE - WASA GROUP.
Comment (Location): ON STEEP SLOPE W OF DUNKLEBERG CREEK. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1958)
Comment (Geology): SOME MINERALIZATION ALONG LONGITUDINAL FISSURE ZONES CONTAIN VEINLETS OF QUARTZ.THE ANTICLINE HAS A NORTHWARD TREND AND PLUNGE.
